Security

Is i-scribe secure? Does it comply with Australian regulations?

Data security and privacy is one of the foundations of i-scribe. Our founding team includes practicing specialist clinicians who use i-scribe in their own busy clinics every single day.

We adhere to all relevant regulations including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 that outlines the requirements for handling medical data.

Can I choose how long my output is stored in the secure server?

Yes. Transcripts, notes and letters can be stored on the secure server for between 1 and 60 days. Choose your preferred length of data storage by going to Preferences > Data Retention.

Where is the data processed and stored?

All data is processed and stored in Australia. We use Australian based LLMs and a secure Australian medical grade server.

Can I customise the output to sound more like "me"?

Yes! One of the key features of i-scribe is just how accurate and customisable the output is in matching your existing "voice". Schedule a customisation session and we'll your outputs fine-tuned to your liking.

Can I use it for telehealth?

Yes. Please ensure your speakers are on and you're not wearing headphones.

Do I always have to be at my desk to use i-scribe?

Not at all. i-scribe can be used on phone, tablet or computer and will sync instantly when you log in on the desktop or other device.

Can I play my consult recordings back and listen to them?

No, because i-scribe doesn't make audio recordings. You can read your past transcripts and notes if they're stored in the patient list.
